AI creates value when you start from a specific business case, prepare and govern the underlying data, deploy with identity and access controls plus clear guardrails, and measure the result — then extend what works. Leading with the tool instead of the outcome is where most AI efforts stall.
Start with the business case
Pick use cases with obvious ROI — automating high-volume work, or a copilot that saves a team real hours. Lead with the outcome, not the tool.
Make it safe
Treat AI as part of the security perimeter: control identity and access, set data boundaries so sensitive information isn’t exposed, and monitor usage. Governance is what lets you actually turn it on.
Prove it, then extend it
Deploy for one use case, measure the impact, and extend what works. Small, targeted wins compound; big-bang AI projects rarely land.
